I work with adults, children, and families. I have experience supporting people in acute states of mental health, those living with the impact of complex and long-term trauma, and those seeking to cope with the stressors of daily life. I invite body-based interventions to complement verbal therapy. Ideally, clients who work with me are open to exploring different kinds of work, including talking, movement, mind/body connectivity, biodynamic craniosacral work, and a polyvagal-based approach such as the Safe and Sound Protocol. I hold a Master's in Dance Therapy from Pratt Institute, which informs my integrative approach to healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is oriented to a body based approach. I am committed to working with each individual in a unique way that suits their comfort level. My approach integrates cognitive and expressive interventions to create awareness of interconnectivity of thought, emotions and behavior.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Successful therapy is based on a trusting therapeutic alliance. I will invite the "here and now" process into the session along with exploring the content of the issues being shared. I will invite the possibility of moving from verbal processing to table work using Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy as a way to support the therapeutic experience. There will also be possibility of using creative movement processing to deepen the experience and integrate knowledge gained through the therapeutic process.
