Hi there, I'm Derek. I truly enjoy working with people who are navigating life's transitions, seeking personal growth, and aiming to improve their relationships at home, work, and with family or friends. Whether you're dealing with depression, overcoming past traumas, or simply trying to figure out your direction in life, I'm here to help. I also have a special place in my heart for college students, young professionals, older adults facing retirement, and even teenagers who are finding their way. I hold a Master's degree in Wellness and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My background includes a successful career in the corporate world and as an entrepreneur. I'm trained in EMDR and often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among other research-based therapeutic techniques, to support my clients. It's a tremendous honor for me to work with individuals as they overcome past issues and create a better life. I believe in the power of therapy to bring about meaningful change and personal growth. On a personal note, my greatest success is having been married for 24 years and raising two wonderful young men with my beautiful bride. Together, we've navigated the tumultuous teen years and now see those challenges as blessings. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, cycling, playing a bit of golf, and hanging out with friends. My wife loves live music, so I often tag along. We also have two little dogs – one that barks at other dogs and a Shih Tzu that rules the house!
