Dessa is an NYU Steinhardt alumnus, a NYSED Certified School Counselor, and a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Additionally, she is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Dessa completed her clinical training at the Yale University Child Study Center, where she worked extensively with children, adolescents, and their families experiencing various concerns. As a versatile clinician, Dessa is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). Her therapeutic approach is warm and empathetic, and she strives to create a safe therapeutic alliance where clients of all ages feel seen and heard. Dessa is dedicated to supporting clients, of all ages, as they rediscover their mental and emotional well-being and work toward creating and achieving their long-term goals.
