Getting to know Diane Amos

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. I take a personalized approach, integrating Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based interventions to support each client’s unique needs. I provide a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore relationship concerns, life transitions, daily stressors, and past trauma. I have extensive experience working with adults facing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, and personality disorders. My professional background includes working in inpatient behavioral rehabilitation facilities, community mental health services, correctional settings, and outpatient therapy. Most recently, I have served as a supervisor of mental health therapists in the behavioral rehabilitation field. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling from Longwood University.
