“I have been working with Dianne for years and she is the best! Finding a therapist who actually challenges you is hard — finding one who does it while making you laugh is even harder. She has the ability to hold you accountable without making you feel judged, and to call you out on your patterns in a way that somehow feels like tough love rather than criticism. Sessions never feel clinical or stiff. She brings a kind of warmth that makes it easier to be honest — even when you really don’t want to be. I genuinely look forward to our sessions. ”

Getting to know Dianne Galasso

Starting therapy is a brave step, and my goal is to make the process feel safe, compassionate, and meaningful. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying the weight of grief, navigating caregiving responsibilities, or facing a major life transition—you are not alone. These experiences can feel heavy and isolating, but healing begins when you no longer have to hold them by yourself. With an advanced certification in grief counseling, I provide specialized support for those experiencing loss. In grief therapy, healing can mean learning how to carry memories with love instead of only pain, finding new ways to honor your loved one, rediscovering moments of joy without guilt, and rebuilding a sense of hope for the future. Grief is not something to “get over,” but something we learn to integrate into our lives with compassion and resilience. I offer a space where you can speak freely, be yourself, and feel supported—with empathy, honesty, and even a little humor when it’s needed. Nothing is off limits in our work together. You will be in good hands. Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation—I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a warm and empathetic clinician who works hard to ensure my clients feel understood, heard, and safe. With an advanced certification in grief counseling, I bring specialized knowledge to support individuals coping with loss, while also helping those navigating caregiving, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Building trust is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a genuine therapeutic connection where clients feel comfortable sharing openly, knowing they will be met with compassion, respect, and care. Clients often share that they value my warmth, my engagement, and my ability to truly connect with them. In our work together, you can expect a supportive space where healing, clarity, and resilience can take shape.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When starting therapy, I believe it’s important to move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe. In our first sessions, I focus on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing. This is a collaborative process, where you can share openly while I listen with empathy and without judgment. Together, we’ll clarify what you’d like to work on and create a plan that feels supportive and realistic. As trust builds, we’ll deepen the work—exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences while also developing practical tools to help you cope in daily life. I strive to make the process feel meaningful, compassionate, and even a little lighter at times, so that therapy becomes a place where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.

Dianne is a fantastic therapist, facilitator, and human! Strongest possible recommendation!
Dianne is an excellent group facilitator, and I've greatly valued these sessions since my very first one almost two years ago!
I have been working with Dianne for years and she is the best! Finding a therapist who actually challenges you is hard — finding one who does it while making you laugh is even harder. She has the ability to hold you accountable without making you feel judged, and to call you out on your patterns in a way that somehow feels like tough love rather than criticism. Dianne is an amazing therapist; she is super attentive, kind/understanding, and provides actionable and effective treatment for anxiety-based disorders, as well as practical advice for dealing with the up’s and down’s of life.
Dianne has been a valuable therapist to me: she is a great listener and good at helping put pieces together. Working with her has had the results in my life that I hoped for.
Dianne is an amazing therapist. Her professional skills and experience are perfectly balanced with a warm and compassionate nature. She is so easy to talk to and a great listener. She really has a true gift for this work.
Dianne has been wonderful to work with. She is compassionate, caring, and sincere. Dianne helped me navigate new and old anxieties through discussions and techniques that I can use outside of our sessions. I am extremely grateful to have met Dianne and receive such beneficial guidance!
I am beyond grateful to have found Dianne. We've been working together about two years now, and I have been learning to notice my thoughts and question my assumptions in ways that pull me out of my ruts. Dianne asks amazing questions, sometimes hard or scary ones to answer, but however I answer--every time--even if I say, "I don't know," her response is one of validation, support, and compassion. She is helping me be more patient with myself and to see my own value. She is excellent at pulling my inner critic out of the shadows and taking her to task! She's helping me remove the many labels I've put on myself by reminding me that underneath all the shame, I'm free. It's just about remembering that my thoughts and behaviors are not who I am and are not unchangeable. Every session, I leave feeling like I took a really deep breath for my soul. I feel myself growing and changing, and it fills me with hope! Dianne is so intuitive, insightful, wise--an absolutely gifted healer!
I have been seeing Dianne to help me with my overwhelming, complex emotions after my mother died. It was clear from our first session that Dianne has deep clinical knowledge and heartfelt compassion. Dianne didn't make anyassumptions about what grief "should" look like, she met me where I was and helped me explore my sadness and complicated emotions without judgment. I highly recommend Dianne and know she will help many other.
