NY
I’m a trauma‑informed mental health counselor with 15 years of experience supporting adults through life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and healing work. I specialize in helping women navigate perimenopause‑related mood changes, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and weight‑related concerns, including bariatric surgery evaluations. I also work with individuals experiencing substance use concerns or addiction. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. In our first session together, here's what you can expect During our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope to change or feel differently about. I’ll ask questions about your history, current stressors, emotional patterns, and any symptoms you’re experiencing. This is a collaborative conversation — there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll identify your immediate needs, begin clarifying your goals, and discuss the treatment approaches that may best support you. If you’re seeking a bariatric assessment or exploring substance use concerns, I’ll walk you through that process step‑by‑step. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and what our work together can look like. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions My greatest strengths include creating a safe, grounded, and non‑judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. I bring extensive experience in trauma‑informed care, emotional regulation, anxiety and depression treatment, and women’s mental health — including perimenopause, identity shifts, and weight‑related concerns. As a CASAC II, I also provide skilled support for individuals navigating substance use, misuse, or addiction.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
