UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My approach to therapy includes both physical and emotional wellness. I believe we cannot heal emotionally without also addressing any physical healing we need. When we improve our physical health, sleep, nutrition, and self-care, we can greatly enhance our mental and emotional well-being. I utilize a blend of CBT, Problem Solving Skills, Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness to help you improve your ability to manage difficulties, challenge the thought processes that create stress in your life, and process the negative experiences that have shaped how you live today. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Norfolk State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Wesleyan University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support your journey toward healing and growth.
