What should a new client know about working with you?

“It is my highest priority in counseling to offer a safe, compassionate, and professional environment for sharing life’s most challenging struggles. I consider it a privilege when anyone allows me into his or her life experience. My personal belief is that relationships are at the core of what brings meaning to our lives. When one or any of our connections is broken, it can impact everything around us. Working toward improved insight and understanding of yourself and others is essential to healing. It is seldom easy. It can be hard work, but life on the others side can be satisfying and full of new strength. I enjoy working with adults and couples, but also have extensive experience with adolescents. I want to believe working with teenagers helps keep me young; at least that’s what I say! In my spare time I love being with my husband of 31 years, and laughing with my two extraordinary children. (Biased mom comment!) I enjoy reading, talking with friends, exploring new places and ideas, learning, finding new inspirational quotes, and cooking. I look forward to beginning this journey with you. Things can get better!”
