I am a Christian, a husband, and a father of 3, with many years of counseling experience with couples, families, and children. My professional experience includes being a director of a men's residential addiction center, a school based counselor, being a therapist/crisis counselor in a community mental health setting, a pastor for 6 years, a children's therapist, and currently in private practice. I serve a wide array of clients from many different backgrounds. I work with anyone looking for understanding, healing, guidance, purpose, and growth. My initial approach is to build a good working relationship with you in order to create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable being transparent. This is key to identifying specific issues, treatment approaches, and a plan of action for you. I am experienced and competent in many different therapeutic approaches and don't believe that any approach is a one size fits all. I also utilize a holistic approach including the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects. I believe that my ability to connect on a personal level with others, my life experience, years of counseling experience, education, compassion, and the many tools I have learned (and continue to learn) to help others serve as some of my primary strengths.
