This provider is a Resident in Counseling Hello, My name is Ebony, and it is a pleasure working with you. In therapy, having a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to foster positive change, so here is a little about me. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Lynchburg with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in psychology and sociology with an emphasis in human services. I then earned my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. Throughout my time in the mental health field, I have worked with a wide array of individuals, including those dealing with substance use and anxiety.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work from a solution focused and person centered approach. My goal is to walk this journey with you through providing you with the support and tools necessary. I provide a very warm and inviting experience with each client, so that they feel that they can be heard and feel safe.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each client's initial appointment will be an intake appointment. During this appointment, I will ask questions about your mental health, medical, family, and social history. I will also ask questions to gain a better understanding of what is currently going on, and prompted you to seek therapy. After our initial appointment, we will set up ongoing sessions based on your needs and availability.
