Getting to know Edith Chan Lara

Through life, we all encountered stress to some extent. It is within these moments that we can identify that our needs must be explored in a more therapeutic way. I believe in meeting a person where they are at in order to take them where they want to go. Because everyone deserves all of their emotions in every way. I work with adults and seniors dealing with grief and loss, identity issues, anxiety, depressions, family conflict, health issues and trauma with an emphasis in postpartum issues, infertility challenges, and ADHD/ADD. I am excited to take this journey with you. I know that starting therapy can be daunting and taking the first step is hard. But you being here is a great first step and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use several modalities including CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness but we can tailor it to how it works best for you. During our first session, we will talk about what brought you to therapy and what you are looking for. We will work together to figure out the best treatment plan for you.
