Getting to know Ekatrina Jaynes

I started my social work career as a Child Protective Caseworker in 1993. I was a LSW. I also held positions as a Children's Services and Adoption worker. I was promoted to a Child Protective Casework Supervisor and program director. I earned my associates business degree in 1989, my undergrad degree in Psychology, an MSW degree in 2005 and a MBA from Thomas College in 2014. I worked as a LMSW-cc for 6 years at the Maine State Prison with male clients only. I then went to work in outpatient therapy at Kennebec Behavioral Health and Sweetser Saco as a crisis Stabilization Unit Clinician. I then decided to go into private practice. I became a therapist as I love helping people and find I have a natural gift at it. I enjoy using Motivational Interviewing as it allows clients to come to their own answers.
