I need to speak with clients to see how I can assist them so that they are able to afford the therapy. --if clients cannot afford to pay whole fee I will bill the insurance for those clients and I will accept assignment, allowing those clients to pay just the coinsurance in cases where there is a financial issue. ----for clients who have an issue and have out of network insurance but cannot pay the full fee upfront. I will,in cases where there is true financial difficulty, apply a sliding scale.-- For those that can lay out the fee I can let them know what they will be receiving back from their insurance and have my biller provide a full explanation of their benefits and they can either send the bill to the insurance and receive reimbursement from the insurance or in cases where they feel they prefer for me to bill the insurance for them I do provide that service as well so they do not have to handle the paperwork. It is important for clients to make the initial appointment on Zoc Doc and then call me to go over how we will proceed and to confirm the appt. and I can work with them before the initial session to come up with a plan that they feel comfortable in proceeding with.
