Getting to know Elisabeth Montgomery

Welcome, I am so glad you are here. My name is Elisabeth, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. I offer a very strengths-based, client-centered approach to therapy and would be honored to be a part of your journey. My clinical experiences have brought me to an inpatient psychiatric unit in Chicago, a fellowship in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery at the VA in Little Rock, and to Denver as an integrated behavioral health clinician in a primary care clinic. My practice is based on the belief that when our experiences are met with compassion and curiosity, we can grow and create more fullness in our lives and relationships. My approach to therapy is primarily rooted in modalities from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with a strong emphasis on body-based therapies, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with dementia, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, military and veteran support, intimate and romantic relationships, stress, and trauma. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in helping clients navigate behavior changes, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and periods of adjustment.
