Getting to know Elizabeth Baird

With a profound desire to help people thrive, I am passionate about therapy and mental health advocacy. As a therapist, my ultimate goal is to empower people to lead fulfilling lives by providing them with the tools and support they need to overcome mental health challenges. Humans are wired for connection, and therapy with me is a collaborative process aimed at fostering meaningful personal growth. I work to create a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental space to listen and reflect, hopefully peppered with humor when possible; I believe laughter is a healing superpower! My therapeutic approach is individualized, integrative and draws from a range of modalities including REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), psychodynamic insights and (IFS) Internal Family Systems. My clients are adults and couples. I have experience working with alcohol abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, childhood wounding, self-actualization and women’s issues. I completed my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from NYU, my BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and trained to be a coach for transformation through the ICF-accredited Leadership That Works program. I love spending time with my husband and three children. Hiking in Acadia National Park, meditating, traveling, reading, or watching stand-up comedy are my favorite ways to have fun.
