Psychotherapist

"Hello, I'm Elvis. As a Disabled Veteran, I've worn many hats and embraced various roles throughout my life. Some know me as 'Bob the Builder' for my knack for helping with personal DIY projects, while others might recognize me as Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, or Garth Brooks for the numerous unsung albums that have yet to see the light of day. And for those who can't quite remember my name, 'Hey E' works just fine. Currently, I serve as the Clinical Director for Dunamis Garden Counseling Services and as a Drug & Alcohol Intake Therapist for an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) and Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT). Additionally, I supervise Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Recovery Services at a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center. My passion lies in advocating for Peer Recovery Specialist and Family Support trainings, encouraging those with lived experiences in substance use or mental health to share their stories and help others on their journey to recovery and wellness. My therapeutic philosophy is encapsulated in my motto: Love, Live, Forgive. I believe that God is love, and we must learn to live harmoniously despite cultural differences, and forgive when opposition threatens to destroy relationships. Life is too short to let hurts, habits, and hang-ups divide families and cultural diversity. By inquiring about what we don't understand, we can build vital relationships for the future. In our sessions, I strive to create a relaxed and resilient atmosphere, where hard work is seen as a necessary step towards accomplishing your goals. I specialize in a wide range of areas including addiction, ADHD, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, grief, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, phobias, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, and trauma. Whether through in-person meetings or SonderMind Video Telehealth, I'm here to support you.
