Despite challenges, I excelled in wrestling and academics, thanks to a supportive coach. Joining the Army Infantry, I overcame discrimination to earn accolades and rank. Yet, deployments brought unseen battles, leading to diagnoses of PTSD and depression. Supported by mentors, I recovered and pursued a career in social work, focusing on mental health. Now, I employ evidence-based techniques to help others overcome struggles and fulfill their potential. As a husband and father, I understand the importance of support and nurturing relationships.
