Getting to know Erica Mahoney

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Colorado. I help adults who are ready to break negative patterns and find paths to healthier relationships with themselves and others. With over 10 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient clinics, residential and substance use treatment programs, homeless shelters, day programs, and community mental health centers. I support clients wherever they are in their journey to improve and resolve issues such as imposter syndrome, ineffective communication, codependency, toxic relationships, family conflict, chronic stress and anxiety, and living with ADHD.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
