Hi, I'm Erica. When we get stuck in a feeling, memory, or pattern of behavior, it can be challenging to imagine moving forward. While children and adults have different ways of showing and understanding these challenges, the need for support and safety is universal. I can provide a safe space to help you reflect on your experiences. My approach to supporting you (or your child) is holistic and culture-centered. I draw from attachment, developmental, ecological, psycho-dynamic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives to provide an individualized therapy experience. Together, we can explore ways to find what you need to enhance your self-knowledge, gain new skills, and find strength in resilience. In 2017, I graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work (NYC) with a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work and special training in child trauma treatment. I also hold a Master's degree in Public Health from CUNY, which I earned in 2012. I have over a decade of experience in community mental health settings where I provided clinical case management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. Now, as a licensed clinical social worker since 2021, I primarily work with children and adults who have experienced trauma or who are coping with feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, or depression. Depending on each person’s needs, I offer play, animal-assisted, and talk therapy. I specialize in areas such as anxiety, children's mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues/physical health, PTSD, stress, and trauma. If you're feeling stuck and looking for a way forward, I'm here to help. Let's work together to find the path that best supports your journey towards healing and growth.
