Psychotherapist
MI
Hello, I’m Erin McDaid. I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, respected, and truly listened to. Whether you’re struggling with a specific issue or simply feeling off balance, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity. I work best with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of purpose. Many of my clients are navigating challenges like anxiety, mood changes, or life transitions that leave them feeling depleted and unsure how to move forward. My ideal client is someone who’s ready to be honest about where they are and open to exploring new ways of understanding themselves. They may not know exactly what they need at first—but they’re seeking clarity, relief, and a more grounded sense of self. I offer a safe space to explore your concerns, using gentle tools like mindfulness, grounding, and reflection to support your growth. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients unravel the patterns that keep them stuck and come to terms with situations that may be vexing or painful. Together, we build insight, restore self-trust, and identify practical steps toward the life you want to create. I am a master’s level graduate in social work from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and I bring nine years of experience working with a wide variety of adults and older adults. My clinical background includes supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, domestic violence, divorce, and other life difficulties. This breadth of experience allows me to understand each client from their unique perspective, helping them feel seen, heard, and supported on their path to healing.
