I specialize in supporting individuals navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. With a background in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based practices, I take a holistic approach that emphasizes both immediate relief and long-term growth. Together, we’ll explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building tools to help you lead a more fulfilling life aligned with your values. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling from New York University and a Certificate in Clinical Social Work from the State University of New York at New Paltz. I recognize the courage it takes to reach out, and I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can be open and honest as we navigate your journey together. I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey, and I look forward to the opportunity to help you achieve your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process for working with clients begins with an initial assessment, which serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. In this first session, I’ll ask you about your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. This comprehensive evaluation helps me understand your unique context and tailor our approach accordingly. As we progress, each session will typically involve a blend of talk therapy and specific therapeutic techniques. Depending on your needs, we may explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and set achievable goals together. I often incorporate evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to guide our discussions and interventions. Throughout our time together, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where you can freely express yourself. Each session is designed to empower you with practical tools and coping strategies that you can apply in your daily life. Additionally, I encourage ongoing feedback, ensuring that our work remains aligned with your evolving needs and aspirations. Together, we’ll navigate your challenges, celebrate your progress, and work towards achieving the meaningful change you seek.

He is an amazing therapist with good guidance.
We’ve had 3 or 4 sessions and I am already gaining understanding of my situation that after years of self reflection I did not piece together by myself. He is kind and genuine and I am very glad to have found him.
Just the kind of therapist I needed. To show me insight or a perspective I may be missing on my own. Guides me towards open and different thinking. I personally needed someone who isn't too soft and agrees with everything I say, I needed someone who shows me a different way of thinking and helps me identify and acknowledge my own strengths and flaws too and work on the flaws.
He is patient and understanding, which is just what I need as I am my harshest critic. I feel very safe and respected talking to him.
Ethan has been a tremendous support in my journey. His calm and uplifting spirit creates a safe, welcoming environment that makes it easy to open up and explore even the most challenging topics. He has an incredible ability to listen with genuine care and provide thoughtful guidance without judgment. His insights are not only practical but also contains a deep meaning.
Ethan offers a compassionate view of your situation and really listens to you. He provides space for you to view your situation in a different light. Highly recommend Ethan!
