“She has been a saving grace for me , she’s so understanding of life and its challenges. She never makes me feel bad when I can’t muster up the energy or strength to speak in a session and gives me the will to want to continue. Because of her I’m in a way better place in such a short period of time and I have no one but her ( and myself ) to thank. She always ensures I stay confident and strong in my new way of life.”

Getting to know Falinda Dieujuste

It takes a great deal of courage to begin the journey toward your best self. Whatever brought you here, welcome! It won't always be easy, but the first step is officially behind you. My name is Falinda Dieujuste, and I am the founder of Revive & Thrive Counseling. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Kean University. I started my practice after hearing the daunting stories from friends and family about finding a consistent therapist to walk with them through significant life changes. For women of color specifically, it can be difficult to find mental health providers who understand the intersectionality that deeply impacts how they navigate the world and who can provide a safe, non-judgmental space. I'm here to help fill that void. I empower high-functioning women over the age of 18 who have been impacted by depression, anxiety, trauma, and significant life changes to develop the tools necessary not just to survive, but to thrive. You are the expert in your own life, but I'm here to help. Let's work together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use an eclectic approach toward therapy, combining strength-based perspective, dialectal behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based practices to help you reframe those negative thought patterns that are holding you back and support you while you overcome life's many twists and turns. However, modalities aside, trust is at the core of all relationships and a therapeutic relationship is no different. Therefore, while I am knowledgeable, with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I also pride myself in being a safe space for my clients.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
