Psychotherapist
MI
Good Afternoon! I’m Gabi. Thank you for visiting my profile. Maybe your mind won’t slow down. Maybe you’ve felt low for a while, you’re going through a rough patch, or past experiences still leave you feeling on edge. You might be managing work and responsibilities while feeling exhausted inside. You don’t have to sort through it alone. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, anger, mood concerns, and substance use. Sometimes you need a place to talk and feel grounded. Sometimes you’re ready for tools that help you respond differently. In therapy with me, there’s room for both. My style is warm, direct, down-to-earth, and clinically focused. I’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, then we’ll set meaningful goals and work on practical skills you can use outside our sessions. We’ll check in on your progress and adjust our approach as you grow. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and a Michigan CAADC credential. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma treatment. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Tell me what’s been going on, and we’ll start building a path forward together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is tailored to you, with respect for your lifestyle, values, and beliefs. I’m here to understand you without judgment and support your growth while honoring who you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and clinically focused, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and feel more stable. You’ll have space to talk openly as we work together toward meaningful change in your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1. Check in: Before we meet, I review your PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores to track symptoms and progress. We start by checking in on your mood, well-being, and how your week has been. 2. Review homework: We talk about what you practiced between sessions, what helped, and what was challenging. Homework is part of our work together and helps you bring new skills into everyday life. 3. You set the agenda: We may continue working on ongoing needs, such as managing ADHD symptoms or navigating challenges related to autism. You can also bring up something new or choose to spend time talking things through. Together, we’ll follow what feels most helpful that day. 4. Plan next steps: We wrap up with practical homework and a clear next step. I continue monitoring your progress so we can recognize improvements and adjust our approach. *This structure gives us a starting point, but there’s room for flexibility. Some days, you may need a different focus—and we’ll adapt together.
