Gabriella Megyesi-Briese, LCSW

Gabriella Megyesi-Briese, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NV
My work centers on two areas that often intersect: healing from trauma and navigating life’s most challenging transitions. I support individuals and couples who have experienced trauma, including childhood abuse, sexual trauma, domestic violence, or other painful experiences. I also help those facing grief, relationship or family changes, health concerns, aging, or career transitions that can leave them feeling disconnected from themselves or from the life they hoped to build. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I use a range of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, mindfulness, and strength-based and solution-focused approaches. For clients who wish to incorporate their spirituality into the healing process, we can weave meaningful spiritual practices into our work together. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and authenticity. I strive to create a warm, safe, and welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel genuinely heard, and understood. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to talk about what brings you to therapy, answer questions you may have, and explore whether we might be a good fit.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma and cope with the emotional impact of major life changes. Whether you're working through the effects of trauma or facing divorce, an empty nest, grief, estrangement, or a chronic illness, I offer a compassionate space to process what you're experiencing and find a path forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your background, relationships, and experiences that may be important to your current concerns. We’ll also begin identifying what you hope to gain from therapy, and collaboratively develop a treatment plan based on your goals. From there, we’ll begin our work together, regularly checking in along the way to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and that we’re moving in a direction that feels meaningful to you.
