The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. *After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I'm a licensed master social worker with a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and an Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist certification. I specialize in supporting young adults navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, life transitions, and identity concerns. My practice is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care, with a commitment to helping individuals cultivate resilience, clarity, and self-trust. Before joining Rivia Mind, I worked in an intensive outpatient program, supporting clients through a wide range of mental health challenges. I also have experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence, which deepened my understanding of trauma and healing and strengthened my dedication to creating spaces where safety, agency, and empowerment are central. I draw from various treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). CBT helps individuals examine the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. ERP is a highly effective treatment for OCD and anxiety, involving gradual exposure to feared situations while reducing the urge to engage in rituals. ACT supports clients in accepting difficult emotions, identifying personal values, and taking meaningful action. My approach blends curiosity and compassion with structure and skill-building. I believe in meeting people where they are—with dignity, warmth, and deep respect for their lived experiences.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want therapy to feel like a space where you can exhale—where you don't have to perform, explain, or shrink yourself. My style is thoughtful, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, empowered, and supported in exploring what matters most to you. Whether you're facing anxiety, grief, identity questions, or relational stress, therapy is a space to untangle what feels overwhelming, reconnect with your values, and develop practical coping skills. I especially enjoy working with young adults and LGBTQ+ individuals during times of transition and self-exploration. In our work together, I aim to build a foundation of trust and flexibility. I'll bring insight, structure, and empathy to our sessions—but I'll also follow your lead. You set the pace, and we'll move forward together. Outside of my work, I value moments of grounding and joy. You can often find me on a long walk, cooking dinner, or watching reality TV with a cup of coffee in hand. I also enjoy yoga and reading, which help me stay present and recharged.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to explore or change, and what's felt challenging or stuck. Together, we'll build a shared understanding of your experiences and begin setting goals aligned with your needs and values. As we continue, sessions may include learning and practicing coping strategies, increasing self-awareness, and gently challenging unhelpful patterns. For those experiencing anxiety or OCD, this could involve structured exposure work using ERP, where we gradually confront fears in a manageable and supportive way. For those processing grief or loss, we may explore meaning-making models and create space for both sorrow and growth. I tailor each session to your evolving needs—sometimes focusing on emotional regulation skills, other times on reflection, insight, or navigating difficult moments in real time. My goal is to create a space that honors your full self and equips you with tools to move through life with greater confidence and connection. Therapy is a process, not a quick fix. But with time, intention, and support, meaningful change is possible. And you don't have to do it alone.
