Hello, I'm Gianna. Are you struggling to find the right words to communicate with your teen? Worried about their behaviors and how they are learning to handle difficult situations? Feeling overwhelmed with finding the right ways to support your teen? The adolescent years are some of the most stressful and can seem like there are no right answers or nothing seems to help. I can help you and your teen work through past issues and learn new skills for emotional regulation and communication that will last a lifetime. I graduated from Metropolitan State University in 2008 with my Bachelor's in Social Work, and in 2014 with my Master's in Clinical Social Work. I have been working with children and adolescents in crisis for 14 years. As a licensed clinical social worker, I primarily work with clients struggling with trauma, anger and attachment issues, and suicidal thoughts. Prior to beginning private practice, my experience has focused on children, teens, and adults in need of immediate crisis intervention. I love working with teens and their families, helping them develop stronger relationships. Using cognitive and dialectical therapy, I help my clients learn new ways to face the challenges in their lives and begin to thrive again. I will provide a space for you to share difficult thoughts and feelings, ensuring you feel heard and safe. Together, we can learn to manage the overwhelming feelings and find peace and joy again.
