Psychotherapist
VT
I help clients break free from any trauma bondage or addictive behaviors related to Internet use , substance use, gambling, food, sex, power, etc. Most of times finding the motivation to change a target behavior improves emotion regulation or even physical conditions. I work collaboratively with you on designing fun exercises that will help you export your new coping skills beyond the therapy setting and incorporate them in your routine. Your pets are welcomed as valuable members of your support network. Sometimes I forget everything that I learned in school so we can discover together the Light and the Truth through play. This inner child play will help you get in touch with your authentic Self. When the inner child is hurt, feelings of rejection, abandonment, humiliation, betrayal and injustice keep you stuck in experiences of abuse. Learning to accept and nurture this child is the key to loving and accepting others. Legitimizing these feelings is the key to setting healthy boundaries with others and breaking the cycle of abuse. I am a Christian therapist and I use a non-judgmental approach that acknowledges that free-will is a God-given gift. In our culture free will is many times taken away from us through censorship and conditioning through fear. One of the most stated commands in the Bible is “Fear not!”. Jesus says: “ I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” ✝️
