Hannah Longman, LMHC

Hannah Longman, LMHC

Psychotherapist
111 John Street, Suite 2400, New York, NY
I work with individuals & couples navigating life transitions, anxiety, identity, self-worth & relationship challenges. My approach is warm, relational & collaborative—grounded in the belief that healing happens in connection. I help clients reconnect with themselves & others, whether they’re facing a major life change or feeling stuck in familiar patterns. For new & expecting parents, I offer support around identity loss, adjustment to parenthood, stress & the shifting dynamics of relationships, work & caregiving. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or unrecognizable to themselves—I help them find stability, clarity & self-compassion. While I specialize in perinatal mental health, I also work with clients outside of the parenting journey on issues such as self-esteem, career shifts, relationships, intimacy & emotional disconnection. For couples, I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work and have completed Gottman Level 1 Training. I also hold certification as a Sex Therapy Informed Professional, guiding clients through challenges around desire, emotional intimacy & communication. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, with additional training in the intersection of lactation & mental health. I offer in-person sessions in NYC’s Financial District and telehealth throughout New York.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All appointments booked on Zocdoc are free 15-min telehealth consultations and are NOT full therapy sessions. We must first meet for a virtual consultation to assess our fit for working together. During the telehealth consultation, we'll talk about what's motivating you to seek therapy and I'll tell you a bit about myself and we can assess fit. If we decide to schedule a full session following the consultation, I will share intake paperwork via email for you to read and complete.
