Getting to know Heather Campbell

Heather Campbell graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (CACREP accredited) in 2005 with a Master's degree in Community Counseling, with an emphasis on marriage and family counseling, trauma, and PTSD. More recently, Heather has had training in Bariatric Counseling (on-going), and has gone through her own Bariatric sleeve surgery in 2019, with a bypass revision in 2023 due to a hiatal hernia. She works with several different Medical Practices in Colorado that specialize in Bariatric Surgery. In the State of Colorado, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She also has a BSW degree in social work. Heather has worked extensively with and on Ft. Carson, Peterson Airforce Base and other Military installations in Colorado, working with Active Duty Service Members, Veterans and their Spouses. She opened Serenity Psychotherapy, LLC in 2011 as a private practice and has expanded to Sondermind to provide a wider variety of insurances to assist clients. She has extensive experience in many therapeutic modalities of Psychotherapy. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. Therapy can help provide insight into yourself, your relationships, your Bariatric Surgery and everyday Life! I believe that therapy is a journey we go on together, to discover the path and possible solutions that work best for your life. Change is possible! I can assist you in getting ready for your Bariatric Surgery (education/support/counseling) and also, provide education/support/counseling after your surgery. I also specialize in working with Couples (Gottman Trained), Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression outside of the Bariatric Community.
