High performance demands internal clarity. In my work with driven professionals, I've found that the patterns sustaining success in one domain — relentless self-reliance, strategic guardedness, the ability to compartmentalize — often become the very forces eroding satisfaction in others. Anxiety, depression, and chronic dissatisfaction are not signs of weakness. They are signals that something essential has been sidelined — often for years, often in service of achievement. Left unexamined, these tensions compound, surfacing as burnout, relational disconnection, or a persistent sense that the life you've built doesn't quite fit the person living it. I specialize in working with individuals navigating the particular pressures of demanding careers, complex personal lives, and the weight of high expectations — both external and self-imposed. My approach draws on modern psychoanalytic theory and cognitive-behavioral methods to move beyond surface-level coping and toward genuine, structural change. Therapy, at its best, is a rigorous collaboration. My role is not to prescribe answers but to ask the questions that reveal what you already know and haven't yet been able to act on. Together, we build the conditions for you to operate with greater intentionality — in your work, your relationships, and your sense of self. I work with individuals on anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, burnout, substance use, and questions of identity. If you're ready for a direct, substantive process, I'd welcome the conversation.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. Creating a space where you feel deeply understood is essential, but meaningful change requires more than insight alone. I'll help you identify patterns, challenge strategies that no longer serve you, and build new ways of approaching yourself, your relationships, and your work. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who excel at managing responsibility, caring for others, and pushing through discomfort. From the outside, their lives often appear successful. Internally, they may feel anxious, disconnected, burned out, or surprised that achievement hasn't brought the fulfillment they expected. My goal isn't to help you become someone different—it's to help you live and lead from a place that feels more authentic, intentional, and sustainable. Together, we'll understand not only what's happening today, but why these patterns developed and how to create lasting change. Clients often describe my style as both warm and direct. I won't simply listen without engaging, nor will I tell you how to live your life. Instead, I'll help you develop the insight, emotional flexibility, and practical skills to make decisions that are aligned with who you are and the life you want to build.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are focused on understanding you in context—not just the symptoms that brought you to therapy, but your relationships, family history, career, values, strengths, and the experiences that have shaped how you move through the world. Together, we'll identify the patterns that no longer serve you and clarify what meaningful change would look like. From there, therapy becomes an ongoing collaborative process. Depending on your goals, our work may include exploring longstanding relational patterns, processing difficult emotions, developing healthier ways of responding to anxiety and stress, strengthening communication and boundaries, or learning practical strategies for navigating life's challenges. I integrate psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness when they're clinically appropriate. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all formula, I tailor treatment to each individual, balancing insight with actionable change. Above all, I view therapy as a relationship. Lasting change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to practice new ways of relating—to yourself and to the people who matter most.
