Getting to know Hilary Gutel

I am a licensed professional counselor with experience working with both individuals and groups. I have partnered with individuals to address issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, anger, parenting, relationships, and struggles in finding meaning. I love working with people to assist them in setting and achieving their personal goals. I believe that each person I work with is a wealth of knowledge in themselves, and I use a collaborative approach to help with solving the problems presented. I primarily use solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy. However, I also incorporate psychoeducation and some aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy. I aim to be a safe, inviting, warm person to work with individuals on whatever they wish to achieve or process. I want to help, and I encourage everyone to continue to do the hard work of change both in and out of sessions.
