Getting to know Holly Duke

I want therapy to be useful and effective for you. My style is flexible so that neither of us are constrained by specific techniques that might stifle the therapeutic process. I'll be your guide while putting you in the driver's seat. You will gain insights and identify the strengths you may not realize you have. My areas of strength include helping people with self-esteem issues, making important life choices, familial and romantic relationships and parenting. I enjoy working with single parents and parents in blended families. I prefer to do individual therapy as opposed to couples so a person can speak freely without having to worry about what others may think. I found my way to counseling and therapy later in life. After working full time in many professional roles over the course of 2 decades, I got married and had a child in 2016. I took a break from working and chose to go back to school. Since that break I have worked full time as a hospital social worker, mother, and stepmother while finally reaching my goal of being a clinical social worker and therapist. I have learned a lot about hard work and resilience and I have a solid foundation with which to create a peaceful and authentic environment that benefits every client. Many people experience feelings of depression, anxiety and hopelessness but those do not define you. You were born powerful and resilient.
