Getting to know Hope Fike
As a licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and a Master's in Social Work from Wichita State University, I have dedicated the last 14 years to working with individuals struggling to manage life in a world that feels chaotic and uncertain, as well as those involved in the criminal justice system. Learning to manage life when you are already facing mental health challenges can feel overwhelming and even frightening. Having someone in your corner, coaching you each step of the way while empowering you to be the expert in your own journey, may be all you need to get started.
Everyone has personal strengths, but many struggle to identify them. I will help you recognize your strengths and teach you how to use them to meet your goals, empowering you to take control of your life and make positive changes.
Sometimes, the most difficult step is reaching out and asking for help, so I am reaching back. It's absolutely okay to ask for help when you need it. Whether you are confronting life's challenges, seeking guidance, or pursuing treatment for a mental health issue, it would be my honor to embark on this sacred journey of self-discovery and healing with you.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My style of therapy includes EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, evidenced based, strengths based and solution-focused therapy. It is client-centered, meaning that the client is the expert. My priority is to provide trauma-informed care. Please be advised that I do not do medication management and I am not able to prescribe medication.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I work with client who may be struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief or some other mental health issue. I also accept individuals who are needing psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery. During our initial sessions, we will explore, in detail, the issues that brought you into treatment and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that allows you to take back control of your life and your future. Most of my clients experience a gradual improvement in symptoms.

Copays are due at the time of service. I will bill insurance directly. Sometimes they cover the cost in full. Other times, there will be an additional cost to the client, depending on the type of coverage. Sometimes, the client's deductible has not been met, and a claim will be returned unpaid. If that happens, the client is responsible for the full allowable payment, due at the time of the next session.

I wanted to find a LCSW with some life experience and Hope is pretty wise medically, which I find helpful.
