What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe healing happens best within a safe, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic relationship. With over 15 years of experience in child and family welfare, community mental health, jail diversion, crisis intervention, homeless outreach, individual therapy, and correctional mental health, I bring extensive frontline experience working with complex needs. I tailor therapy to your experiences, needs, and goals using approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, DBT, ACT, CPT, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy, Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), Schema Therapy, and somatic approaches. In session, you'll learn coping strategies to help you process difficult emotions and create meaningful, lasting change in your life. I create individual treatment plans tailored to address your unique needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based interventions such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Above all, therapy is a place where you can talk openly about difficult experiences, thoughts, and emotions—including things you may never have felt comfortable sharing before. Together, we can better understand patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
