“Ian has been my therapist for ~3 years and has gotten me through the hardest time of my life. He's incredibly thoughtful and personable and always remembers every little detail I share with him. I think what makes Ian stand out is that he doesn't just tell me what to do, his style is to have me talk through the issue and come to the solution myself. I almost always find that during our conversations, I realize things that never occurred to me. That said, he's also not hesitant push me to take action on something I know I need to if it's clear I've been putting it off (which has been really helpful). On top of all that, he's extremely easy to talk to. While the patient/therapist relationship is clear, friendly banter is also very much a part of our sessions if deeper topics aren't my priority on a given day. I couldn't more highly recommend Ian if you're exploring therapy for the first time (like I was) or looking to make a change.”

Getting to know Ian Sicks

Anxiety, panic, and relationship stress can take over your thoughts and wear you down. Dating might feel like a constant performance, or you find yourself second-guessing in every relationship. It’s exhausting to keep circling the same doubts while wanting more faith in yourself, better communication, and relationships that actually feel good. I work with men and LGBTQ+ clients, specializing in anxiety and panic —especially around dating and relationships. My style is laid-back and direct, drawing on ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and existential therapy approaches to help you interrupt unhelpful cycles, regulate emotions, and build clarity and confidence in how you connect with others. Clients leave with fewer spirals, the ability to make more grounded, mindful choices, and relationships that feel stronger and easier.

Ian is an incredible therapist. He has gone above and beyond to provide me the care and therapy I need. He’s incredibly patient, kind and insightful. Would highly recommend Ian to anyone looking for a therapist.
Ian is great. He meets me where I need to be met in my personal growth journey. His humor and kindness help with the difficult conversations; but always with the goals for our session in mind.
Ian is very professional and very knowledgeable with his ability to give insight. Never had to look for any other professional counseling after meeting him.
Ian is a wonderful therapist! He helped me through a challenging and emotional period of my life and I still heed a lot of the advice I learned from him. I felt very comfortable with him from the beginning; our sessions almost felt like I was talking to a friend, which really helped me to open up and be vulnerable to address my feelings. I definitely recommend him!
Ian is very genuine and his approach to our sessions was very helpful for me. I was hesitant to start therapy again after trying other places but got very comfortable with Ian so I stuck with it. He allowed me to be more of myself in the sessions and work up to deeper issues naturally. I highly recommend him!
Ian is incredible! He is smart and has the tools to guide you towards making progress to your goals—I couldn’t recommend seeing him more!
An excellent therapist who has helped me navigate a variety of life events and personal transitions. Would recommend to anyone looking for help and support.
Ian is a great therapist who roots his practice in mindfulness and meditation. I often find myself using tools learned from Ian when I find myself getting overwhelmed or in a stressful situation. Ian is incredibly warm and charismatic, a great listener who helped me greatly during a time of transition. Highly recommend!
Ian is an incredibly compassion and insightful therapist. He's approachable and easy to open up to, and creates an environment where I feel safe and comfortable opening up and being my authentic self. With Ian, I always feel challenged to think more critically about my circumstances and I'm pushed to understand myself deeper. Ian is an amazing listener and I feel like he hears me and understands me, and is able to help me navigate situations through my lens, rather than through an outside lens. I've grown so much with his help and I know I'll continue to grow with him. He's the best.
