Welcome! My name is Ishanie (eye-shuh-knee) Sanchez-Rodriguez, and I'm a licensed mental health counselor/professional counselor in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Touro University, Graduate School of Education, Brooklyn Campus. With 13 years of progressive clinical experience, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship struggles, and personality disorders, to name a few. Together, we will learn and utilize different strategies to build your toolbox of coping mechanisms and help you become the best version of yourself.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work best with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and personality disorders. We will utilize various skills in CBT, DBT, Solution Based Therapy and other modalities until we can build a toolkit that works best for us. With progressive work, we will notice an improvement within the first month and work on maintaining that progress thereafter.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I often use CBT and DBT skills within my practice. We will start by exploring what your goals are in therapy and build upon our strengths to utilize them to help us manage our symptoms. Along our journey, we will learn new skills that work best for our unique circumstances.
