Psychotherapist
159 Bleecker St, Ste 2C, New York, NY
I’m Jack, an Associate Psychotherapist who works with clients feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to make sense of what they are going through. You might be someone who spends a lot of time in your head, has a hard time trusting yourself, feels pulled between who you are and who others expect you to be, or keeps finding yourself in relationships that leave you feeling unseen or misunderstood. In therapy, I’m less interested in judging your thoughts or feelings and more interested in understanding what they are trying to tell us. Together, we can look at the ways your past experiences, relationships, identities, and coping strategies shape how you move through the world now. Some of that work may involve building practical tools for anxiety or depression. Some of it may involve slowing down enough to notice what you feel in your body, what you protect yourself from, and what you want to move toward. My style is warm, curious, and collaborative. I try to balance reflection with practicality, helping you better understand yourself while also finding ways to feel more grounded in your day-to-day life. My background as a yoga teacher informs the way I think about the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system, especially when stress or trauma shows up physically as much as emotionally. I’m especially drawn to working with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, relationships, LGBTQ+ experiences, and life transitions. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College. You do not need to come into therapy with a clear plan or the right words. My hope is that therapy can offer a place to feel less alone with what you are carrying and more connected to yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build.
