Psychotherapist
NY
I am a firm believer that what most people want is to be listened to, non-judgmentally and with compassion. I use a variety of modalities in my practice, but they are all centered around my feeling that therapy is a guided conversation, where the client feels free to express any and all emotions, knowing they will be heard and validated. I have been in this field for 11 years, starting with working with children and families. For the past 6 years I have focused on working with adults, touching on all areas: relationships, self-esteem, grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma, to name a few. I strongly believe self-care is a necessity, not a luxury in life, even if that means sitting quietly for a few minutes to slow down after a busy day. Coming to therapy is hard; coming to online therapy can be even harder. I am here to join alongside you, to help you explore and achieve your goals, and for you to feel that therapy is helping you overcome any challenges you are facing. I have a B.A. in English from Barnard College, an MST from Pace University, and an MSW from Fordham. I truly feel that my previous careers, first in the legal field and then in education, have well prepared me for the culmination of my careers, helping people through difficult times, so they can live the life they want. I accept many insurances.
