Getting to know Jacqueline Voluz

My approach to psychotherapy prioritizes creating space to explore the triumphs, confusions, and often shameful feelings of the past. Amid opportunities, setbacks, and crises, we work together to process the events and feelings that made you who you are today. Together, we can untangle these experiences to enhance your relationships and create momentum and expansiveness in your life. My specialties include life transitions, professional and academic goals, relationships, chronic pain and disability, intergenerational trauma, gender and sexuality, and experiences of dissociation, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I integrate psychodynamic theory and developmental psychology. We can then sprinkle in DBT, mindfulness, and somatic techniques to engage the mind, body, and spirit so you can heal and grow at your own pace. I have also achieved Level 1 certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work.

Whether your goals are short-term or long-term (or perhaps you don't have concrete goals and that's ok too!) and no matter what you're dealing with, I bring a spirit of collaboration, radical acceptance, and an antiracist, anti-oppressive lens so that we can frankly and thoughtfully explore what progress, safety, hope, and trust really look like for you.
