Psychotherapist
NY
I view therapy as a collaborative space to connect and explore yourself with acceptance and compassion. It can be difficult to connect with ourselves underneath the stressors that modern-day life brings. I aim to help clients adjust the volume of those stressors in order to work through them at a pace they can manage. I use a holistic approach, suggesting tools that help build a bridge between the mind and body. I believe when we bring our attention to these elements, we can become more aware of how our choices and relationships are affecting us. Once that awareness is established, there is a tremendous opportunity for healing and growth to take place. For the last 10 years, I've worked with a wide variety of individuals and groups from different backgrounds and ages. They have experienced everything from homelessness, serious traumatic events, medical issues, addiction, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and more. It's been a wonderful experience to be reminded of the resilience and humanity we all share and are capable of, despite challenges that arise. I earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and hold a Bachelor's degree from New York University. After decades of big city living in New York and Los Angeles, I took a leap of faith to explore the simple life in Idaho. Having gone through my own traumatic experiences, I'm grateful to have learned what's most healing for my mind and body. I'm excited to ground myself in nature, learn to garden, and hopefully harvest some potatoes. When I'm not appreciating nature, I'm usually with loved ones, streaming a good documentary, or enjoying a delicious plant-based meal.
