Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Janet. I believe that therapy is a powerful service that anyone can benefit from. Whether you're dealing with everyday stressors or major trauma, working through these challenges with a therapist can make a significant difference. If left untreated, these issues can impact our physical health and overall well-being. My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship where we can navigate these challenges together, and I can help you discover tools for sustainable success in managing your symptoms. In 2013, I graduated from Regis University with a Master's Degree in Counseling, and since then, I've been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and families in various settings, including a domestic violence agency, intensive in-home therapy, and school-based therapy. While I've worked with clients facing a wide range of issues, I specialize in trauma and anxiety. The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective therapy, where trust and connection are key. I strive to create an open environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable expressing your concerns and issues. I believe in a strength-based approach that empowers clients, along with evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These approaches are highly effective and help your brain heal and function in a healthy manner. Together, we can accomplish your mental health goals. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your journey to better mental health.
