Hello, I'm Janice. My therapeutic style is compassionate and warm, and I believe in a collaborative approach to design a treatment plan that works for your unique needs and goals in therapy. It's important to me to get to know you and understand you as a human being while providing a safe space. You are the expert in your experience, and I am here to help guide you in the directions you would like to go. In addition to the modalities listed, I like to utilize mindfulness-based practices and other contemplative practices for managing difficult symptoms and to help strengthen your relationship with self. In 2017, I received my master’s degree at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. I have worked for over four years with survivors of trauma and childhood trauma. In addition, I have worked with individuals struggling with disordered eating and body image. While working with survivors of trauma, I focused on reducing symptoms associated with posttraumatic stress disorder and tension-reducing behaviors. I utilized many modalities to help individuals heal from traumatic experiences, including Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It can be difficult to seek out therapy and start the healing journey, and I want to provide the space for you to embark on this journey. I would love to support you and be part of your journey towards healing and increasing your quality of life.
