Getting to know Janice Moore

Life transitions can be challenging, emotional, and at times overwhelming. With over 20 years of experience in clinical settings and private practice, Janice Moore, LCSW offers thoughtful, compassionate therapy to help individuals navigate change with clarity, confidence, and support. A graduate of NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, Janice works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and adjustment-related stress. She is especially passionate about supporting professionals and high-achieving individuals—including those in medicine, law, and business—who are managing demanding careers while facing personal or emotional transitions. Janice has a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during perimenopause and menopause. Many women experience increased anxiety, mood changes, identity shifts, and relationship strain during this time. Janice provides a validating, informed, and supportive space to help women make sense of these changes and feel more grounded and empowered. Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Clients often describe Janice as easy to talk to, deeply attuned, and skilled at helping them gain insight while also creating meaningful change. She believes therapy should feel both supportive and purposeful. In addition to her clinical work, Janice has extensive experience supervising and mentoring clinicians and spent over 10 years as an assistant professor at a New York college, bringing depth, professionalism, and expertise to her practice. Janice’s goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and supported as you move through life’s transitions. Whether you are navigating career stress, relationship changes, emotional overwhelm, or the complexities of perimenopause or menopause, you don’t have to do it alone.
