Jennie Phillips, LCSW

Psychotherapist
ME
I'm Jennie, an LCSW who has been working with disorders of under and over control for almost two decades (This includes things like: ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, OCD, BPD, self harm and suicidal ideation); and am a certified clinical specialist in ADHD. I have been told that I have a "cozy vibe" by many clients, I try to center the relationship between the client and myself. I think that therapy should be a comfortable environment to explore uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, my job is to help people understand both themselves and how they want to interact with the world around them. I try to make sure to provide skills (concrete things to do as well as new ways to think) during sessions, and follow up the next session around how skill use went and try to tailor interventions for what works for each client. I am certified in a variety of treatment types: CBT (CBT, TF-CBT, and CBTp), ACT, MI, harm reduction and DBT (DBT, RO-DBT). I typically pull skills from many of these during treatment, and have also worked through one specific type with clients when they have wanted something specific or it was helpful to complete an entire program.
