SCHEDULE TODAY! Do you feel frustrated and alone, and no matter what you try, it isn't working in your relationships? Is it difficult to have tough conversations with the important people in your life? Do you feel like you have a roommate who your connection centers around the coordination of logistics around children, careers, and aging parents? It’s possible to navigate conflict and communication differently in relationships while increasing connection. Therapy is a commitment and an investment in your relationship(s). There is hope, and change is possible. Learn how to communicate and connect so everyone feels more seen, heard, and understood. I work primarily with relationships and support individuals navigating difficult relationship issues. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate which means all my training is focused on relationships. I have additional training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy which is an evidence-based modality for relational therapy based on attachment theory that involves understanding the role of emotions and resulting behaviors that create repetitive negative interaction cycles in relationships. I also integrate various evidence-based techniques/interventions depending on the relationship’s needs and goals while integrating cultural perspectives and context. I often pull from solution-focused, person-centered, behavioral modalities, narrative theory, attachment theory, relational-cultural theory, and Bowenian theory. I have an analytical, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I guide clients to explore the patterns of emotions and behaviors. I integrate life/communication skills, practical solutions, and evidenced-based techniques to foster relationship change. I have both clinical and professional experience with marriage/committed relationships, divorce, co-parenting, blended families, high-conflict relationships, grief/loss, career transitions, financial issues, sex/intimacy, and supporting LGBTQIA+ families.
