Psychotherapist

You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many of the people I work with are navigating a period of transition where an old way of being no longer fits and what comes next hasn't fully come into focus. This in-between space can bring uncertainty and questions about identity, relationships, core values, or sense of direction. Therapy can be a place to slow down, begin to make sense of what's emerging, and reconnect with your capacity for self-trust and agency. I view therapy as a creative process that invites curiosity, experimentation, and a way to imagine new possibilities for ourselves.

Getting to know Jess Lynch

You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many of the people I work with are navigating a period of transition where an old way of being no longer fits and what comes next hasn't fully come into focus. This in-between space can bring uncertainty and questions about identity, relationships, core values, or sense of direction. Therapy can be a place to slow down, begin to make sense of what's emerging, and reconnect with your capacity for self-trust and agency. I view therapy as a creative process that invites curiosity, experimentation, and a way to imagine new possibilities for ourselves.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a queer, nonbinary therapist, I bring awareness to the ways we navigate identity, belonging, and the expectations we inherit from family, culture, and society. The parts of yourself that don't fit neatly into a box are welcome, and I hope to offer a space where you can show up without having to perform a particular version of yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work collaboratively and relationally, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential approaches to psychotherapy. In practice, this means attending to the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped you, while also noticing what is unfolding in the present moment and within the therapeutic relationship. Art therapy can be incorporated as another mode of expression, offering symbolic and embodied ways to engage and respond to the challenges of daily life.
