Getting to know Jessica Lisser

Anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, difficult relationships, or painful past experiences can leave us feeling stuck and disconnected from the life we want to live. Therapy offers an opportunity to step back, gain perspective, and develop a different relationship with life's challenges. I work with young adults and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, trauma, relationship concerns and self-esteem challenges. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where you feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes. I believe lasting change comes from more than simply reducing symptoms. Together, we'll identify the patterns, beliefs, and coping strategies that may no longer be serving you, while developing practical skills to respond more effectively to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations. Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort altogether, we'll work toward building greater psychological flexibility, helping you make choices guided by your values rather than fear, self-criticism, or old habits. Every person brings a unique story, which is why I tailor treatment to your individual needs. My work is grounded in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide treatment that is both evidence-based and personalized. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from these modalities to meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be. Whether you're healing from past experiences, navigating a difficult transition, strengthening relationships, or seeking greater confidence and purpose, my hope is that you'll leave therapy not only feeling better, but feeling better equipped with the confidence, flexibility, and resilience to navigate life's challenges long after our work together has ended.
