“I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Jessie Warner. I began seeing her when I was about six weeks postpartum with my first child and struggling greatly. She helped me through the darkest time of my life and has continued to be a warm and wonderful therapist for the last 2+ years. She has guided me through deep and healing work, and I value our time together so much. I’m now 10 weeks postpartum with my second child and am thriving, thanks in large part to the work that Jessie and I have done together. ”

Getting to know Jessica Warner

Everyone needs help navigating life's most challenging transitions. As a therapist with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from City University of New York, Hunter College, my goal is to help my clients develop the self-awareness they need to navigate even the toughest moments and feel more alive and authentic in their daily lives. My practice style is warm, encouraging, non-pathologizing, and affirming of all genders and sexual orientations. I have experience helping people struggling with negative self-talk, addiction, challenging relationships, big life transitions (marriage, new job, new kid, etc.), self-doubt, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m here to help. Sometimes that means just listening, sometimes that means helping clients identify problematic patterns of thought or behavior. I believe in radical self-compassion. I’m not here to judge you. I believe each person is the expert in his/her/their own experience and it’s not my job to tell you what to do. I’m more of a navigator/guide/coach who will support you in whatever it is you hope to achieve in therapy. I approach the therapeutic relationship with curiosity, compassion, and humor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process for working with clients is to start slow and get to know each client before diving into any intense work. It’s important that we both decide it’s a good fit. I like to engage my clients in deciding how we will work towards the goals we’ve identified together. As we accomplish those goals, we will reevaluate what the focus of the work will be until I’ve worked myself out of a job and the client feels good about terminating.

I'm super appreciative of my time so far with Jessie! This is the longest I've ever stayed with one therapist and definitely the most positive experience I've had. She's attentive and makes me feel heard.
Working with Jessie over the last four months has been great. She is very kind, patient, and understanding and has made me feel very comfortable when opening up. She's also given me so many new perspectives and tidbits of advice to consider and I truly feel like I've made a lot of progress with her already. I'm so glad I found her and would definitely recommend her to anyone.
I have been to a few therapists before and have had both good and bad experiences, so I think I am qualified to give a good review on this topic. With that being said, working with Jessie has been my favorite experiences so far with therapy. She listens very well and gives input to help reframe your mindset and look at things from a different perspective or headspace. I truly recommend her, she is very warm and friendly with excellent bedside manner.
