What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm a licensed social worker specializing in perinatal mental health, couples and partnerships, and life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, I spent decades as a musician, songwriter, and artist manager. That background shapes how I work: I listen closely, follow your lead, and notice what you say and what you don't. My approach is warm and direct. I draw on EMDR, EFT, and CBT alongside arts- and mindfulness-based approaches, paying close attention to how culture, family, and larger systems shape what we carry.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are about getting to know you: what brought you in, what feels hardest, and what you want to be different. From there, we set goals together and use practical tools to move through what's hard, not around it. We check in along the way so the work stays relevant and achievable. Reaching out is often the hardest part, and I'm glad you're here.
