Getting to know Jessica Zweig

**PLEASE NOTE: AS A PRACTICE WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE** All sessions are private pay. We provide a superbill for clients with HSA/FSA or out-of-network benefits. Hi, I'm Jessica! I've been in your shoes and know the courage and strength it takes to make that initial therapy appointment. I am so glad you're here and feel incredibly lucky to bear witness to your stories. I specialize in supporting motivated adults and adolescents navigating quarter-life crises, relationships and dating, anxiety, self-esteem, career transitions, loss, chronic illness, and everything in-between. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate, effective care. We'll start where you're at and develop the coping skills to make whatever it is you're carrying feel more manageable. We will work together to deeply explore your feelings and experiences in order to highlight your strengths, identify patterns, and create meaningful and lasting change. I deeply believe in the mind/body connection and that the more we can build the bridge between the two, the more acceptance and compassion we can offer ourselves. I believe therapy is the journey home to your most authentic self. I am passionate about helping you heal, and I can't wait to connect with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

**AS A PRACTICE WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE** Please note, your appointment is not confirmed until we speak. My style is warm, collaborative, holistic, playful and I hope to create a space where your most authentic self is heard and seen. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing. Together we will co-create a safe, comfortable space where you feel ready to begin, or begin again, depending on where you are in your journey. **I am currently only accepting patients who have the ability to meet on a weekly basis. I meet with patients weekly to ensure we can build a strong relationship, develop/strengthen coping skills in real time, and work to rewire the "old stuff" that continues getting in the way of creating lasting change. ** EMDR sessions will range from 45min-60min depending on the context of the session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My integrative approach is heavily informed by advanced clinical training in the following modalities: Psychodynamic/Strengths Based/Attachment-Based; IFS (Internal Family Systems); Somatic Awareness; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy); ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing).
